A memorial built in Caloocan, a city in Manila, Philippines to commemorate the founder and Supremo of the Katipunan, the Philippine revolutionary Andres Bonifacio stands bravely armed with his revolver and bolo along with his Katipuneros in the Monument.

Designed by Philippines’ National Artist for sculpture Guillermo Tolentino, the Bonifacio monument is acclaimed as one of the best monuments in the world because of its symbolic representations including the “Cry of Balintawak”. Andres Bonifacio in the most summarised way, is best known for his strong determination on fighting for independence from the politically and socially ruthless colonial rule by Spain.

It is specifically located at South Caloocan at a roundabout crossing of EDSA, MacArthur Highway, Samson Road and Avenida Rizal so you will get a glimpse of the famous monument when passing by. Make sure to take photos as it’s always memorable to keep something historical!
