The façade of the Padre Pio Shrine was based on the structure of the Church of Our Lady of Grace in San Giovanni Rotondo, Italy. This church was known for its architectural elegance, and the design of the Padre Pio Shrine was meant to bring St. Pio closer to the hearts, minds and souls of his spiritual children.
Considering that the Padre Pio Shrine is located in Libis, Quezon City, it is also close to a large number of devotees from all over the metropolis due to its location. This has helped boost the number of pilgrims that visit the shrine every year.
