Alligator Lake: Laguna’s Quiet Crater Gem

Tucked within the serene landscape of Los Baños, Laguna, there’s a lake that doesn’t make much noise—but that’s precisely where its charm lies. Locals know it as Tadlac Lake, but many call it Alligator Lake or Crocodile Lake—names that harken back to colonial times when crocodiles were said to inhabit the area. Despite the name, there are no alligators here (those are native to the Americas), but the stories and the mystique around the lake linger like morning mist on the water.
