Pasko sa Azalea: The Holiday Theme

This year, Azalea Hotels & Residences Baguio celebrates the holidays under the theme “Pasko sa Azalea,” transforming the property into a festive hub of art, lights, and Christmas cheer. The theme highlights creativity, local artistry, and community, offering guests a memorable holiday experience filled with decorations, activities, and the warmth of the season.

Check out the video for more highlights. See what I’ve captured through my lens with Point of View (POV) photography. Using a body cam, I’ll take you on an interactive tour, showing you behind-the-scenes moments of capturing the shots shared here.
Check out the video below for additional features. Explore what I’ve captured through my lens in this cinematic slideshow.
Marge DC Gomez: Art and Christmas Creations

Christmas in Baguio carries a warm, glowing charm during the holidays, and this year that feeling comes alive through the work of Marge DC Gomez, who has been collaborating with Azalea for the past three years. Her acrylic artworks—styled like stained glass—feature sheep, angels, shepherds, stars, and familiar Christmas symbols. These designs brighten the glass panels, railings, and standing displays across the property, bringing the Pasko sa Azalea theme to life and creating a festive, art-filled space that feels both welcoming and joyful. When evening settles, the artworks transform. Light from inside and around the hotel makes each piece glow with soft color, creating an atmosphere that is cheerful and distinctly Christmas. Guests wandering through the property often pause just to take in the way the colors shimmer after dark.

Christmas Tree Installation

One of the highlights of Pasko sa Azalea is the collaborative Christmas tree installation, shaped through the combined efforts of Marge and the Azalea team. Marge conceptualized the star atop the tree, designing it extra large as a tribute to the Star of Bethlehem, the guiding light seen from distant lands. Instead of traditional balls, the tree carries handwritten messages of love and hope, creating a heartwarming display filled with wishes from guests. The result is a tree that feels alive with stories and shared intentions.

Dinawis Evening Bazaar

Right outside, the hotel grounds come alive through Dinawis, Azalea’s special evening bazaar hosted by its own staff. Dinawis combines Christmas lights, the stained-glass-style artworks, and the lively comfort of Filipino street food under Baguio’s cold evening air. Visitors enjoy isaw, red hotdogs, pork barbecue, and other favorites—along with bargain finds, live entertainment, and a fun open-air karaoke area where anyone can sing along. The blend of food, music, lights, art panels, and laughter creates a vibrant holiday scene that draws both guests and locals.

Supporting Local Artists

Azalea’s support for local creatives plays a big role in this year’s celebration. By providing space and opportunities, the hotel helps artists like Marge and her husband Ergo—an artist himself—share their work with a wider audience. This partnership turns Azalea into a place where art and tourism meet, giving both travelers and locals a chance to appreciate homegrown talent.

Guests who want to bring home a piece of the season can find Gallery Ergo’s mini artworks at the Azalea lobby. Marge and Ergo are also part of the Mandëko Kito bazaar happening from December 5 to 22, 2025 at Scout Hill, Camp John Hay.

Uplifting Communities and Farmers

Beyond the celebrations, Azalea also supports causes that uplift communities across the country. Through its partnership with RuRi (Rural Rising Philippines), the hotel contributes to empowering Filipino farmers. RuRi has already rescued more than 4 million kilograms of produce and works with communities in 39 provinces, promoting fair trade, food security, and sustainable agriculture. Donations help sustain rescue buys, fund food-processing equipment, and provide training for farmers in regenerative practices.

Azalea also supports KAWA Pilipinas, a volunteer-driven community kitchen that has served over 534,000 nutritious meals since 2020 to the homeless, the urban poor, and persons deprived of liberty. Gift cards—ranging from ₱100 to ₱500—are available, with proceeds supporting both RuRi and KAWA, making it easy for guests to be part of something meaningful this season.

Cozy Treats and Comfortable Stays

No visit to Azalea Hotels & Residences Baguio is complete without trying the well-loved free hot chocolate in the lobby, a treat that guests often talk about long after their stay. Some even return for a second cup while admiring the glowing artworks and festive displays. Just steps away, the hotel’s modern, fully furnished accommodations—from studios to three-bedroom apartments with living areas, dining spaces, and kitchens—offer a warm and comfortable home-away-from-home for families, friends, and solo travelers who want to enjoy Baguio’s holiday magic to the fullest.
