There are more than 3,000 specimens of exotic wildlife in the Avilon Zoo; representing more than 600 species of birds, mammals, reptiles, amphibians, freshwater fish and invertebrates. This is the largest zoo in the Philippines, which is located on a vast 7.5 hectare site. One of the aims of the zoo is to be a premier wildlife facility in Southeast Asia.
In addition to the collection of native animals that are indigenous to the Philippines, The Avilon Zoo also has a large collection of animals that have been successfully bred in captivity as part of the company’s conservation programs, of which more than half are endemic to the country. There are several conservation efforts being done to protect species in the wild, preserve endangered species, and protect the environment at the zoo as well.

As an additional opportunity for visitors to learn about wildlife, the zoo also offers guided tours and educational field trips. The zoo offers a lot of opportunities for its visitors and guests to feed animals such as arapaimas, exotic water fowl, giant tortoises, wild horses, and deer, as well as the chance to interact with the zoo’s friendly creatures!
