One of the most photographed churches in the province of Rizal, the Morong Church is located in Morong of the Rizal Province, and is considered to be one of the most majestic and ornate churches in the country.
At the time when the baroque church was built in 1620, it stood out as the most impressive building in the entire complex. It has the most attractive facade of any church along Rizal and Laguna, and its bell tower is one of the best among all of them. Although hinting that the decorations and elements of the Morong church’s architecture is Mexican in origin due to its rich character of Baroque, due to the two Chinese lion sculptures at the entrance, it has been rumoured that it was built by Chinese artisans.
