A Space Built on Culture and Collaboration

Harvest Creative CommUNITY Hub, an initiative supported by the Bayo Foundation in partnership with the city, was established to strengthen and showcase the craftsmanship found across the Cordillera region. Its purpose is rooted in the idea of culture as a living practice. Inside the hub, artisans work with natural fibers, local wood, and traditional weaving techniques, allowing visitors to witness the creation of crafts that have shaped Cordilleran identity for generations.

The structure itself reflects mindful reuse, incorporating reclaimed pine wood and community-created artwork. Every element of the space highlights sustainability, creativity, and respect for heritage.

The Heart of Creativity

One of the hub’s most rewarding experiences for travelers is the chance to see artisans crafting textiles and woodwork in real time. Looms, threads, and hand-carved pieces fill the space with movement and texture. Visitors can observe, learn, and occasionally participate in hands-on activities, depending on scheduled workshops. These interactions turn cultural appreciation into a personal experience, offering a rare opportunity to understand the meaning behind patterns, motifs, and materials.

Tradition in Dialogue with Modern Fashion

Among the hub’s noteworthy achievements is its growing network of collaborations with prominent Filipino designers. It has worked with creative visionaries such as Zarah Juan, Harvic Dominguez, Vin Orias, and Valdes Designs. These partnerships blend indigenous Cordilleran textiles with contemporary silhouettes, resulting in clothing that carries cultural memory while appealing to today’s fashion sensibilities.
