You’re looking for a perfect destination to relax and have an adventure? Look no further than Tingloy, Batangas! This municipality is made up of Maricaban Island, Caban Island, and other smaller islets – perfect for taking a break and experiencing some excitement. A visit here is sure to be unforgettable!

The name of the municipality comes from the abundant “tinghoy” plants that grew here before humans set foot on the island. In fact, it is believed that the first inhabitants of Tingloy escaped the Spanish conquistadors from villages such as Taal and Bauan, and chose Tingloy as their homeland. After being under the jurisdiction of San Luis, Bauan, and Mabini for many years, Tingloy finally gained independence and become an official municipality in June 1915.

Are you a hiker or mountaineer? Then you don’t want to miss Mag-Asawang Bato, which consists of two twin peaks. Ascend them to enjoy a beautiful panoramic view of the entire island! You’ll quickly see why people from all over have fallen in love with this breathtaking spot.

What’s more, the island is also home to several fish sanctuaries, including Batalang-Bato or Pulang Buli in Santo Tomas and Talahib. Divers must obtain permission before entering these areas – but the amazing underwater views will be worth it.

If you’re looking for more beaches, the Caban Island coastline has plenty to offer. Visit Mapating Beach, Layag Layag Point, Caban Island Beach, Fortales Beach, or Bahay Kambing. With mild waters and soft sand, these beaches are perfect for swimming, snorkeling, and more.

Tingloy is your one-stop destination for a fantastic beach getaway! With stunning beaches, spectacular views, and lovely sanctuaries, it’s no surprise that this is a must-visit destination.
