The Manila Ocean Park, located at Ermita Manila, is known as the Philippines’ first ever world-class marine theme park, with an integrated urban resort/aqua-themed hotel as well as a premiere educational facility.

Amazingly, 3,000 cubic meters of sea water is derived from the Manila Bay into their main attraction, the tunneled Oceanarium walkway. A total of 14,000 marine creatures from about 277 different species all of which is native in Southeast Asia, thrives in the oceanarium. More often than not, the tunnelled oceanarium itself is the most visited area of the park, due to the magic and amazement marine life brings. Aside from that, the Manila Ocean Park also has its own educational activity areas and facilities, suitable for the young and those who wants to learn more about the fantastic marine life. There you can find the stingray and shark display, and facilities where you can actually take a dip with them; up close and personal.

The park’s other attractions include the Jellies’ Exhibit, where different species of Cnidarians or Jellyfish are held in cylindrical viewing tanks. Trails to Antartica, Philippines’ first-ever penguin facility which features Humboldt Penguins. It is also worth noting that their breeding programs have been very successful, which will always be a major good news. For the land and flying animal lovers, visitors can enter the Manila Ocean Park’s Birds of Prey Kingdom, which features wild, exotic and never-seen-before birds. Nearby the aviary, is the World of Creepy Crawlies which exhibits different kinds of insects such as arachnids, amphibians, reptiles and many more!

Lastly, take a trip down to their massive grandstand before going home, as the Manila Ocean Park offers a Sea Lion Show, All Star Bird show and a fountain symphony to the watchers. If you have decided to stay overnight and planning to explore more the wonders of Manila Ocean Park for the following day, head down to their Hotel H20, where the rooms are filled with luxury and grandeur. Who wouldn’t want to sit on a soft couch while watching the swimming sea creatures in their room’s glass walls?
